A good pair of boyfriend jeans are a wardrobe essential. A girl can never have too many different pairs of jeans. Boyfriend jeans go in and out of style, but right make an outfit look relaxed without trying very hard. They are often baggy with a low waist which is a very 90s type of silhouette for girls. Boyfriends jeans can offset dainty pieces like lace or crop tops to add a little something extra to an outfit.
It girls and fashion girls love boyfriends jeans so there’s plenty of places to look for inspiration. One of my favorite ways to wear distressed boyfriend jeans is with a baggy sweater and loafers. It looks effortlessly chic but not too relaxed where it becomes frumpy. There are tons of different washes, styles, and brands to check out so it’s easy to find the right pair.
If you haven’t considered them before or thought they were out of style here is some inspiration to guide you.

A way back somehow (I’m not very sure how) I began receiving the Goop email newsletter. A long with links to interesting stories on their website the offer tips and tricks, how-to’s and product recommendations on fashion and style. At the very end of the newsletter there’s a section of clothing and accessories they currently love. I think it’s pretty cool because what they choose often puts together a really chic outfit with clickable links to buy.
So I’m super casually borrowing it for my blog. I can’t confirm the people at Goop actually use, wear, or love those stylish pieces, but because this is my blog I can confirm I do. I thought this might be a little different than an #OOTD because I want to share the outfits I’m obsessed with or just think are pretty great.
This outfit I wore to Easter dinner at my parents this past weekend. The birdcage skirt is brand new in the spring releases of Who What Wear’s collection with Target. My only gripe is the white is very…thin when it comes to the sun. No matter what color underclothes I tried to wear there was a shadow or they were visible. I would much rather have this skirt in black (it’s available online). Other than a pretty spring skirt the rest of what I chose were just classics in my closet.

Olivia Culpo is a woman of many hats. She’s an actress, cellist, and former beauty queen, but most of all she has terrific style. This makes her eligible to be a source of style inspiration (and subject of Style Crush). I didn’t know much about her other than seeing her on random social media posts during events where style is heavily prevalent.
Olivia was named Miss USA in 2012 and Miss Universe the same year. I’m not entirely sure how Miss Universe works because the entire universe (aliens) aren’t invited to compete? Regardless, from what I’ve learned Olivia’s style combines classic staples with current trends in a fun, flirty way. Some of her staples include bodysuits and high waisted jeans, and she even praises looking to places like Zara and Topshop for trendy pieces that can be worn year after year (#same).
What I really like about her style is she boldly takes on trends like the completely sheer top and keeps them looking classy (when it very easily can go south….fast). Another thing I like is her ability to rock an entire outfit of white pieces. Sure, solid black is a classic but changing it up to white is incredibly polished and chic. One thing I learned during this process is she believes in getting dressed in the moment. She doesn’t plan her outfits ahead of time but rather uses her mood to dictate what she wears to portray how she feels. That’s definitely something worth trying.
As always below are some looks worth trying out but with a few minor changes here and there.

A few months back my favorite ballet flats were ruined by a random rainstorm. Okay maybe it wasn’t actually random, but more like me ignoring the chance of rain and wearing them anyway. In my defense, saying it’s going to rain here is just playing a game of Press Your Luck. 75% of the time it NEVER happens or is a drizzle.
Regardless, my classic black ballet flats exist no more. I haven’t really had to replace them because I have trusty loafers and its been strictly boots (or sandal) weather; no in-between. Ballet flats are true classics especially black ones. I love pulling an Audrey Hepburn with my black flats and black crop trousers. It’s one of my favorite go-to looks on a lazy day. But there are so many other styles to consider.
Animal prints and backless loafers are incredibly trendy right now making them perfect choices. Pink (please stop calling things millennial pink) ballet flats are almost iconic looking. I’m slightly impartial to the more edgy looking ones. The studded ones or the pearl embellished d’Orsay ones are edgy but chic enough to fit just about any outfit.

I’ve been trying to change up my style for spring. Stepping outside my comfort zone of jeans and a simple tee has been hard. I wore dresses twice now and even shorts (yes, outside my apartment!). But I still feel like I’m lacking in the style department.
Rather than just wearing everything in the spring J. Crew catalog, I found about a weeks worth of spring style inspiration worth copying.

While coming up with the text to accompany this post, I tried to think of a way to explain what #GOALS means. There are all kinds of goals from fitness goals to relationship goals all of which are unique to the people perceiving them. According to a quite bitter person on Urban Dictionary, being GOALS means being someone everyone sucks up to and lives an incredibly staged Instagram life in order to be validated by likes and comments.
To put it nicely, being #GOALS means being something to aspire to. Whether you stage your Instagrams or not (everyone is guilty of this at one time or another) you can still be #GOALS to your loyal following. Nerdy COM major statement in 3..2..1….Social media has given us the power to curate the spaces we want based on the type of person we want to be seen as. Yes that often means staging our photos and retouching those photos so they look better and give off the perfect vibes.
Enter Emily Ratajkowski who is Instagram #GOALS among other types of goals. Her feed is filled with images of tropical locales, bikini shots (#fitnessgoals), and tons of fashion inspo. Sure pulling off her style might be a little difficult sometimes and there’s about a 0% chance of me ever posting an instagram in sworts and a bra, but if you’re daring enough to try her looks many can translate fine to regular life. I would LOVE if my Instagram feed was half as good as hers.
These are some of my favorite regular, every day style looks featured on her Instagram.

Okay the title of this blog might be a little off-putting, but hear me out. I truly don’t know why Kylie Jenner has an online shop filled with clothing (most of which is sold out) and cosmetics, but she does. Get those dollars, Girl. I am not a Kardashian-Jenner fan and, in fact, the only episodes I have seen of that show were courtesy of my best friend, Rachael. She knows if she turns on anything I can make commentary on purely out of confusion I can be entertained and distracted for hours. That said I’m not entirely pop culture blind & I know their effect on the planet (good or bad).
I’ve been known to look at Kendall for fashion inspo, and while I can’t quite figure out Kylie, Kendall I can get behind. Enter this tee. My best friend (personal assistant and stylist) insisted I consider adding this t-shirt to my large graphic tee collection. So I decided to play around & Style it just in case it ends up in my closet through some wine induced late night shopping.
