Ah, Labor Day. The unofficial end of summer is finally here. Too bad the Arizona heat won’t be out of here for at least another month. But it’s time to fully embrace the end of summer and fill the final days with fun activities. There are BBQs, beaches, lakes, boats, picnics, and so many other things to do. I have some really fun plans this weekend, but I’m lacking a little in the style department. I’m just not sure what to wear.
I feel like I’ve been so lazy lately and living in denim shorts, yoga pants, and tank tops. I’ve just been really uninspired, hating my clothes, or down on myself whatever the reason my outfits have been severely lacking. Going into this weekend I decided I should probably give off some better vibes so I looked around for some end-of-summer outfit inspiration.
When I hear the word wallpaper I’m immediately drawn to a mental image of the 1970s. Something similar to, say, this? But, in reality, modern wallpaper is actually pretty cool. I’ve seen it used a bunch on HGTV so my opinion has really turned around. There’s even a hilarious episode of Property Brothers where one woman is determined to use the world’s busiest wallpaper (at whatever cost) much to the chagrin of both Jonathan and her husband.
Update: I still love fall.

My bank account is severely upset it is fall. The worst part isn’t even the money being spent on sweaters and PSLs, but the fact I can’t even wear a majority of my stylish new clothes yet. Sure in the morning when I leave for work my sweater looks chic and adorable, but by my afternoon drive I’m stuck wearing a tank top fighting a glaring sunset in 90 degree heat. I’m SO over the heat.
It’s been rainy off and on for a few days which has just been sticky and gross. Not at all chilly. Talk about disappointment. Plus that meant everyone was at Starbucks and the guy behind me in line pronounced latte wrong. Just how….I don’t even know where to begin with that one.
BUT because I hold true to my #basic girl status, I will still champion fall is the greatest time of the year. Thus why I’m sharing my fall style insp board. Okay so it’s just a really cool looking version of a Pinterest board.
I can’t guarantee this is the only one of these I’ll make this season, but it definitely contains some of my favorite images from around the internet and Pinterest. If only Zara would restock that lace bodysuit…then I’d be golden.
I’ve made collages for as long as I have been able to use scissors. Never has this artistic skill been more useful than in high school when we used to pass around notebooks. But then Pinterest happened and collages became boards filled with recipes, tips & tricks, and home interiors.
Feeling a little bummed I decided to make a mood board for summer to attempt to feel good summer vibes once again.
