Rose Gold is one of my favorite things ever. I’m addicted to buying it especially when it comes to jewelry. I’m still really disappointed I lost my favorite rose gold ring at the movies a few months ago. But, because of rose gold’s popularity, I constantly find new ones to “replace” it with. I just really love how rose gold looks with dainty, simple pieces. it’s just incredibly simple and pretty.
One consistent topic I always have to share are the new releases from the Who What Wear x Target line. For over a year now each month new releases have been hitting store shelves in order to give us all access to affordable, street style inspired clothes. They are incredibly on trend or really great variations of trends. They are flattering, cost effective, and, of course, stylish. I definitely believe they are essential for the business casual work environment (which is where I wear them most often), but can really be worn anywhere. Dress them up or wear them casually either way you’ll feel great in something. The best part is they are mix and match. There are core pieces to choose from each month in trendy prints and colors that can be tossed together with other pieces from the collection (or can enhance personal wardrobe favorites).
Lately the collection has been hit or miss, but when I saw some of the pieces recently at Target, I thought I would share the ones most worthy of picking up. I chose the pieces that I think are the most universally flattering, wardrobe necessities, or just plain cool. They are introducing more shoes and accessories as the collection develops more, so I think those are pretty cool too. Especially these interesting dip front mules which I’m really undecided about.
Ah Zara, the one place I can be found when it feels like everything in the world isn’t going that great. Okay maybe I should find better ways of dealing with unpleasant emotions rather than spending money or valuable time wandering around Zara. Hey, to each their own. Regardless, I think it’s pretty well known Zara is one of my all time favorite places to shop. One of their gigantic sales is still going on, but an all new collection has just hit the web. There’s a pair of very polarizing leggings.
I’m sorry for the surplus of summer themed posts lately. Although I’m not really sure what else I’d be writing about since it is, well, summer. I’ve shared my bucket list and now I thought I would share some other things on my radar. Products mostly to enhance the summer experience so think of it almost like a curated shop by yours truly.
- I love how this tee has the appearance of iron on letters making it feel slightly vintage. Madewell | $23
- A linen blouse paired with denim shorts and a cute sandal looks chic and relaxed with minimal effort. H&M | $30
- Slip on loafers are still all the rage, and these are on sale (currently) and budget friendly. Topshop | $24
- This top pulls double duty: adds a touch of bright color to an outfit and shows off the shoulders. Zara | $10
I genuinely don’t know how it’s already July. The year is more than half over? Where did the time go? I hope the next few months are far better than the last few, but rather than being such a Debbie Downer enjoy some really cool things currently on my radar.
One of the best and worst things about summer are bathing suits. Chilling poolside is basically a requirement right now (it’s about 120 degrees out right now as I type this, no lie) and doing it fully clothed would be weird. The material swimsuits are made from is often cooler than some items of clothing so they are even wearable outside of the pool. There is a return to modesty this summer with more swimsuits being made of more fabric and cuts that provide greater coverage. The chic one piece is having a major moment right now, but like many other things, it really depends on the person, their preference, and body type.
I love this Zimmerman striped bikini because I love a good set of stripes and a bikini. With a one piece I like the Solid & Striped Lexi. The navy color is classic and the white provides nice, clean lines.
